Alco Century 855 engines in production from  Division Point!
Announcing the development and production of a new project from Division Point - The Union Pacific Alco C855 engines.   The original prototype consisted of 3 units (2 A units with cabs and 1 B unit without a cab).  As such, the models will be available in 3 different model packages (total run will be 100 individual units):
Engines will be DC operation out of the box, but will Include a “Decoder Buddy” Light/DCC Board and be setup for plug and play DCC decoder install - there will be a mounting pad for speaker(s).   There will also be 'extra' lighting features built in beyond the basic headlight / rear light, including class lights, number board lights, a cab light and possibly some step lighting.
Suggested retail is planned for $2,995 per unit - assuming that there are no major changes from this point forward.   This should fit well with the recent big model projects that have been produced recently, such as the UP steam turbines and the UP Coal Turbine.
Non-refundable deposits will be required as we move into production - probably in early spring.  The builders are moving along.  Delivery is currently expected at the end of summer.  Please feel free to ask any questions that may come to mind.
