Update for The Coach Yard - March 2014

Here are some upcoming product deliveries and highlights from The Coach Yard:

  • SP's mail train, known it as "Sad Sam", is due in April 2014.  TCY has just finished the inspection at the production facility in Korea.  Cars are being boxed and getting ready for shipping to the USA.
  • The SP Official cars and the Santa Fe HW Business cars are now scheduled for July 2014.  This run will include a number of 1980's SP "Official Cars"
  • Attn: Pennsy Fans -  The PRR P70 series Coaches are due in 2014.  These has been a addition to the listings for PRSL
  • Santa Fe Fans - The AT&SF Express Box car listing has been expanded, adding the SF Green  cars with slogans.   These will be produced in the Grand Canyon project, which will be ready for delivery in 2015.  See also these Pullman cars
  • TCY has also had pilot model reviews for:
    • Early 2-8-8-2 steam engines for N&W, OR&N, SP and UP
    • SAL-Orange Blossom Special
    • Treasure Island Special [also called  Golden Gate Exposition Special 1938-39]
 

Pacific Coast Shays

Glacier Park Models had been showing pilot samples for a new run of Pacific Coast Shays.  There will be 5 different models in this project, covering some of your favorite logging and short line railroads.  There will also be a unique rendition of a stainless steel boiler prototype from Pickering Lumber.

North Bank Lines has started research on a set of 2-6-6-2 steam engines for 3 related roads from the 1920s:

 

C&O L-1 4-6-4 - 3rd Production - Additional

Precision Scale is moving forward with a small production of C&O L-1 4-6-4 engines.  The latest estimate is that these will be available in the first quarter of 2014.   An inventory of remaining parts and materials will allow about 30 pieces to be produced.  A few upgrades from the last production run in 2008 include:

  1. Lighted under cab roof;
  2. Cab curtains installed;
  3. Gage faces installed;
  4. Coal bunker light;
  5. Possible working marker lights - to be determined.
 

NYC / P&LE H-10a / H-10b 2-8-2 Steam Engines

Division Point is working on H-10 class Mikados for NYC and P&LE.  There will be several different versions for each road of these pipe laden and detailed prototypes.  NOTE (11/27/2013):  Reservations will be closing soon, make sure you get your request in now.

 

N&W Heavyweight Cars from Division Point

The remaining N&W Heavyweight cars are in sight. Division Point has previously produced select HW baggage cars, business cars, diners, and RPO cars for Norfolk & Western. They will soon have in hand the production samples for the coaches, which means these will be available very soon. There are two additional models that have been added with additional detail differences. If you have been holding off, or would like one of the 'new' models, let us know.

 

GN / SP&S / WV Caboose from North Bank

North Bank Lines has released an updated list of models to be included in their upcoming caboose project.  This update shows several additions to the number of versions produced to account for detail and road number variations.  There is also an additional model of a Willamette Valley Railway caboose that has been added.

Glacier Park Models has an O scale project scheduled for delivery in 2014.  These will be Baldwin 2-6-6-2T tank engines.
